From Europe there are several direct flights going to Cuba. Our best experience is flying via Amsterdam with Martinair. They have cheap flights to Havana, Varadero en Holguin.

A nonstop flight from Amsterdam or Brussels to Cuba takes about 10-12 hrs. Also from germany there are direct flights to Cuba with LTU.

f you are in North America then you will need to look for a flight from Canada. Toronto is a popular departure point for those closer to North America’s eastern seaboard, while those living out west might think of finding flights leaving from Vancouver. United States citizens will generally have to get a Department of the Treasury license to spend money in Cuba. You can always fly to Cuba from foreign countries likeMexico, Jamaica and Canada, for example, and sometimes your passport won’t be stamped. Cubans welcome Americans more than you might think. If you just want to get up and go to Cuba without worrying about the ins and outs, you will rarely experience any issues. Arresting U.S. citizens for traveling to Cuba as tourists is quite rare, really. While you can’t fly to Cuba from the United States, both standard and charter flights that leave from both Canada and South America are always an option. Whether you are coming from Canada, South America, or Europe, charter flights to Cuba are the most preferred way for many, and are certainly worth considering.
